Copyright and DMCA
Effective 4 November 2026
Tiksky respects creators' rights and expects people who use it to do the same. Only post videos, music, photos and text you made or have permission to use. Tiksky has no music library: Tikskys keep the sound they were recorded with, so background music in a video is the poster's responsibility.
Reporting infringement
If you believe content hosted on tiksky.social infringes your copyright, send a notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) to our copyright agent:
Copyright Agent, Tiksky (Demie AC, Demetria Althea Cohn)
Email: d@tiksky.xyz, subject “DMCA notice”
Your notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- The link to each Tiksky or post you want removed (tap the Share button on the Tiksky or post and copy its link).
- Your name, mailing address, phone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
We'll remove or disable access to the material promptly and tell the person who posted it. Sending a false notice can make you liable for damages.
Content on other servers
Tiksky also shows videos and posts from accounts hosted elsewhere on the AT Protocol, such as Bluesky. We can hide those in the Tiksky app, but to have them removed from the network, also contact the server that hosts the account (for Bluesky accounts, Bluesky Social PBC).
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The content that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the US, any judicial district where Tiksky may be found), and that you'll accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We'll forward it to the person who sent the notice. Unless they tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they've filed a court action, we may restore the content.
Repeat infringers
We end tiksky.social accounts that repeatedly infringe others' rights, in appropriate circumstances.
